TERRIBLE LIVING CONDITONS
A lot of the families we assist, live in very poor housing condition, which often lack basic necessities, such as plumbing, appropriate and safe disposal of waste, clean water, and food security. These squalor living conditions affect entire communities, as crowded living spaces, dirty water, lack of hygiene, and food insecurity, contribute to diseases and poor health outcomes. Improve conditions mean reduce inequality.
THE WATER CRISIS IS ONGOING
This video shows how the wells in the villages are in terrible condition with rustic inside of the well, were people are using to drink, cook and bathe with.
People in rural areas draw their drinking water mainly from surface sources such as ponds, rivers and lakes. These sources are often watering holes for livestock, downhill from latrines, and catchments for mudslide debris - all dangerous contaminants that can contribute to life-threatening illnesses like diarrhea, cholera, dysentery and hepatitis.
